Tata Motors is all set to unveil Nexon electric vehicle (EV) in India today. The automobile manufacturer has been quite busy in December 2019, having showcased its premium hatchback Altroz earlier this month. With the appearance of the Nexon electric vehicle on the EV scene, the customers looking for an eco-friendly mode of conveyance will definitely have more options to choose from.
The EV space in India got a major shot in the arm with the launch Hyundai Kona electric vehicle in July 2019. Before the Kona, there were only a handful of EV options available in the country like Tata Tigor electric vehicle, Mahindra eVerito and Mahindra e20 Plus. Tata Nexon EV Launch
The Nexon electric vehicle will be launched in India in the fourth quarter of the Financial Year 2019-20.
Tata Nexon EV Price
We are expecting the Nexon electric vehicle to be priced in the range of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Nexon EV Motor
The Nexon electric vehicle will feature the new Ziptron powertrain technology. The EV will be reportedly powered by a motor delivering 129 hp and 254 Nm of maximum torque.
Tata Nexon EV Battery
The Nexon electric vehicle will reportedly have a 28.8 kWh battery pack. A DC fast charger will juice up the battery up to 80 per cent in nearly an hour, while a standard AC charger will take 8-9 hours for 100 per cent charge.
Tata Nexon EV Range
The claimed range of the Nexon electric vehicle is nearly 300 km.
Tata Nexon EV Warranty
The Nexon electric vehicle’s battery and motor will have a warranty of eight years.
Tata Nexon EV Features
The Nexon electric vehicle will by and large look like its ICE-powered cousin. We can expect it to have features like multifunction steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system and automatic AC inside the cabin. Also available will be the regenerative braking feature. Tata Nexon EV will comply with IP67 (dust and waterproof) standard.
